Transportation Youth Care Worker

Responsibilities:

Our Youth Care Workers and Transport provide the following services to our residents:

  • Individualized attention
  • Care & Support
  • Safe & secure environment
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Sufficient support and life skills
  • Interpersonal Relationships
  • Help residents become loving parents and productive citizens

Requirements:

  • Complete and pass 2 Criminal Records Background check
  • Complete 24 hours of required trainings each year (trainings provided onsite)
  • Adhere to all AGC policy & procedures
  • Provide highest education diploma, (College or HS) or its equivalent (ex: GED)
  • Agree with AGC Statement of Faith and Mission Statement
  • Provide Supervision to residents during transport and maintain control in the vehicle at all times
  • Maintain vehicle mileage logs
  • Valid Drivers License and be at least 25 years old

Bonus Points:

Hourly pay is $9.35 per hour.

This position requires someone who is attentive to details and able to handle many tasks at one time.  Also requires someone with an understanding of teens in crisis who are dealing with behavior management problems.  Applicants must be able to maintain composure when dealing with Crisis Interventions and fulfill training requirements in Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training.

Workers must have good communication skills and reasoning ability.

Hiring is based on scheduling needs and on availability and flexibility of perspective Youth Care providers.  Most staff trainings are provided during 1st shift hours and attendance is required if additional training is needed. Paperwork, light cleaning and supervision of residents is required.
