JOY BETH
DAWAHARE

Joy Beth is a Clinical Social worker who received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky in 2004.

Upon graduating she worked with the department of Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky. Since then, she has been involved with many organizations including Sunrise Children’s Services, Refuge for Women, and the school mentorship program at Southland Christian Church.

She has a passion for helping children and adolescents but works with clients of all ages in a variety of areas which include anxiety, ADHD, coping skills, and adjustment problems. She understands therapy can be overwhelming and intimidating.

Her goal is to create a comfortable and safe environment where the client can share their story as they navigate thoughts, emotions, and life’s challenges.

Trained in various therapeutic techniques, she incorporates the best intervention to suit the client’s needs.

Outside of work, Joy Beth spends time with her husband and four children. She enjoys teaching fitness classes, watching UK football, and traveling with her family.

Joy Beth is now accepting referrals.
